Volunteer Home Visitors

Prior to any animal leaving the boarding establishment the prospective adopters are visited by Home Visitors to ensure their suitability for the type of animal concerned and to discuss any concerns the adopters may have.  We are always looking for volunteers to join our team.

Qualities needed:

  • A calm confident manner.
  • Able to get along with people.
  • Have some knowledge of caring for animals.

Travel and telephone expenses are reimbursed.

Home Check Co-ordinators work closely with his/her team of home visitors to ensure the RSPCA rehoming policy is carried out. These posts are currently held by Doris Mawhinny (cats) and Joyce Armfield (dogs).
