Layla – Rehomed

Posted in Animals Rehomed.
layla-lurcher-3 Layla came to the branch following a collision with a vehicle which didn’t stop to ask if she was injured.  Her owners couldn’t keep her following the accident and asked the RSPCA to find her a loving new home.

She is a lovely dog who very sadly has had to have her right foreleg amputated and suffered abrasions to her face, ribs, legs and tail which will take some time to heal properly.  She has now gone to a fosterer for one-to-one extra special TLC and although her stitches should be out next week she will continue to receive care for a bit longer while her raw abrasions heal and she can live without the protection of her plastic cone and inflatable buster collar.

Despite her injuries she is good in the house and is house trained but needs someone at home most of the time and a family with older teenage children or an adult only home.

Great tips on caring for a 3 legged dog can be found here and  here

If you could offer this little amputee a loving a home please get in touch with the branch.
