Rescued dogs searching for caring homes

Please note - The majority of our dogs will only be rehomed to families
where they will not be left at home for long hours during the day whilst the family is out at work and school,
and who have no young children under 5 years of age.
We do our best to match adopters' lifestyles with our dogs' needs.
For example: a young dog may be very lively and strong and could outlive an older person
but we sometimes have dogs who have seen a bit more of life and have come into our care through no fault of their own.
They are often very sensible, many have been well trained by their previous owners and now they have reached middle age would benefit greatly
from the love, attention and extra time spent on them which can be found in the home of a retired person.
Please contact us if you are looking for such a dog.

Soul

Soul is a ten month old neutered collie cross who was found abandoned in a house. He was brought into branch care via one of our Inspectors.  Soul is very bouncy but good with children and other dogs and is house trained.  He also knows "sit" and "no" which is a start.  He would make a really fast and furious agility dog but would be just as happy to be simply a "fun family dog".  He just loves water and would play all day in his own paddling pool or a local stream.  But if he got the chance to go to the seaside, his new family would need to keep a very close eye on him as he "just might try to swim out to find what's beyond the horizon".

Soul is very child friendly, but because of his extremely boisterous nature would be unsuitable for children under 5.

If you would like to visit Soul with a view to offering him a home please phone:

07050 264 531 (ansaphone), leaving a message with your contact details for Joyce or or send her an email  but please remember to include a contact telephone number.

Chan
Chan is a very people friendly adult Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who came into branch care via one of our Inspectors.  Because Chan has lacked socialisation with other dogs he would be best as an only dog in the family.  He loves attention and likes nothing better than to be made a fuss of.  Chan would make a great addition to any family.

If you think that you could offer Chan a new home and would like to visit him telephone

07050 264 531 (ansaphone), leaving a message with your contact details for Joyce or or send her an email  but please remember to include a contact telephone number.

Jane
Jane is a Great Dane x who stands at approximately 72 cm at the shoulder.  She is about 5 years old and used to living in a house.  She is housetrained and doesn't chew but CAN open doors.  Jane really likes people and loves to be stroked, preferably all day.  As she doesn't really get on with other dogs, she needs careful introductions and would benefit from some form of dog socialisation such as a training class.  She is very strong on the lead in an ordinary collar, but now she wears a Canny Collar, going for a stroll has become a pleasure for our dog walkers.  Jane doesn't travel well and was initially underweight for her breed but improving all the time, although she shouldn't be allowed to become fat.

Because of her extremely large size and bouncy nature Jane will not be rehomed with families with children under 10 years of age.

If you think you could offer this taller lady a caring new home telephone:

07050 264 531 (ansaphone), leaving a message with your contact details for Joyce or or send her an email  but please remember to include a contact telephone number.

Max
Mac is a handsome, bright, people friendly, cross bred dog who has been returned to us by his previous adopters due to his dislike of other dogs.  He will need to be taught that dogs are not a threat to his family on walks and we will work with any adopter who feels that they need help on this issue.

He is housetrained and loves playing with children.  He will only be rehomed to families with children over 5 years of age as, despite being 8 years of age, he is still quite bouncy.

If you think that Mac could be the dog for you telephone

07050 264 531 (ansaphone), leaving a message with your contact details for Joyce or or send her an email  but please remember to include a contact telephone number.
