Could you foster a cat with nursing needs?

Posted in Branch News and Updates, Special Appeals.

We are urgently seeking a foster carer for Bobbie, a little stray cat with a severe ear infection which will need nursing care once his ear has been operated on.   Bobbie will need ear drops twice a day and must wear a cone collar to prevent him scratching the stitches and the open wound.   If you could help and live within easy travelling distance of Mossley where the vet who will be overseeing his treatment is based we’d love to hear from you.

He will need his cone for at least 10 days and probably anaesthetising to have his stitches removed.   Following a successful outcome of this procedure he will then have to have his teeth cleaned and probably several removed.   So this will be at least a couple of months foster placement.

All his food, cat litter, bedding and a cage if needed will be provided by the branch.
